Many of you have been to a writers’ conference this summer. It was a fabulous experience where you met new friends, learned new writing and marketing tips, and (hopefully) received requests for your Work in Progress (WIP). Now you’re back and home and real life has set in. The excitement is treasured memory, you’ve had time to digest the lessons learned, and it’s time to get to work.
Your pitch, maybe along with the first chapter of your WIP, was good enough to earn you another chance to woo an agent and/or an editor. Are you ready? Have you checked their website for their submission guidelines? Do you have a synopsis? Do you know how to write a proposal? So much to do!
Whether you are submitting to Castle Gate Press or not, we have many resources on our site that can help you try to sell your WIP to an agent or publishing house. Part of our goal here at Castle Gate Press is to encourage new authors, so we hope you find these resources to be helpful.
Now get to work…and good luck to you!
