What you want is for people to pass your blog articles on to their friends. This is marketing gone viral, just exactly what you want the most. So, how do you get that to happen?
A useful article is a must, of course. But a catchy title will propel it.
Why is that? Most people aren’t going to just stumble over your blog. They will find the article through a Facebook or Twitter link, an email auto-generated from your blog, RSS auto-generated from your blog, or possibly an email from a colleague that contains a link. And since all those people are overloaded with info all the time, your article title and therefore the link (containing the title) need to stand out. Not only stand out, but hook ’em in!
So, spend MORE time crafting the title than on writing the article.
