Writers, here’s another marketing idea. Instead of a regular old blog tour, how about putting together an Internet scavenger hunt, requiring readers to glean through postings on many blogs to come up the phrases needed to enter a drawing?
In fact, there’s a scavenger hunt going on right now with an iPad Mini as a prize, plus a stack of books: one copy of a book by each participating author. Authors include some very recognizable names in Christian speculative fiction. Take a look!
Brock Eastman’s blog contains the first and last entries, so I suspect he’s the mastermind behind the big effort. It looks like thirty-three authors are participating, each one promoting one of the others with an interview and other materials. Many authors are adding a drawing for their own works, in addition to the overall prize.
The entire scope is visible on the post that comes at the end: http://brockeastman.wordpress.com/2013/11/29/31-author-scavenger-hunt-stop-1-alexander-marestaing-interview/
